It's being reported that Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens in the coming days.
There was a ton of hype surrounding Jefferson and the Arkansas Razorbacks heading into this season, but it wasn't the best season.
Jefferson threw for 2,107 yards this season while completing 64.2% of his passes. He threw 19 touchdowns but also threw a career high eight interceptions.
He also ran for 447 yards and two touchdowns this season for the Hogs.
The question is, if he is to enter the transfer portal, would he be a name Hugh Freeze would be interested in?
I think the answer is yes, as he would be able to run the RPO system well. Jefferson runs well, but he is a bigger runner, so he is not your normal duel-threat quarterback, as he stands six-foot-three and weighs 247 pounds.
Jefferson is a good quarterback who had a bad 2023 season, as his entire Arkansas team did, so perhaps finding a new home could be helpful for the veteran quarterback.
This is definitely a name Auburn fans should monitor when the transfer portal opens in the next few days.
