Texas Longhorns vs Stanford Cardinal

Featured Prospects: Dillon Mitchell Tyrese Hunter, Arterio Morris, Harrison Ingram

The Longhorns have gotten off to a great start early in the season, boasting a 7-1 record and a top ten ranking in the country. Texas is a well-rounded team that features several players that will likely make the jump to the NBA in the next few years.

Most notably, freshman Dillon Mitchell has a chance to be selected in the lottery of this summer’s draft. A highly athletic forward, he’s got a ton of upside, but will need to prove he’s got the ability to make shots on the perimeter and also finish with both hands near the rim.

Tyrese Hunter is a transfer sophomore that has taken his game to a new level this season. Despite being undersized, the electric guard can fill it up on offense. Arterio Morris might take some time to develop into a player that’s ready for the NBA, but he’s without a doubt someone who has the talent to get to that level down the road.

Stanford only has only player averaging double digits in the scoring column, and that player only produces 11.7 points per game. The Cardinal have gotten off to a slow start this season, but are well balanced and could turn things around in conference play.

Although he's not their leading scorer, Stanford's best player is Harrison Ingram, who is quietly one of the best point forwards in the entire country. He’ll have a chance to get selected in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft, but may end up getting selected early in the second round.

Ingram’s C-RAM is down this season at 6.5 following a 7.6 mark as a freshman according to Cerebro Sports, but don’t be surprised if that changes as the season goes on.
