LeBron James Delivers Powerful Anthony Davis Take After Historic Night in NBA Playoffs
Jason Parkhurst-USA TODAY Sports

After close to two years, the Los Angeles Lakers have finally defeated the Denver Nuggets and prevented a sweep at their hands, thanks to a monster game by Anthony Davis. This prompted LeBron James praise the big man and drop a powerful take on him.

Just recently, the Lakers won Game 4 over the Nuggets with a score of 119-108 . Anthony Davis put on a monster performance by dropping 25 points on 64 percent shooting from the field, 23 rebounds, and six assists. James also connected 60 percent of his field goal to score 30 points in 38 minutes. Furthermore,Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell each 21 points for LA.

For his part, Nikola Jokic posted 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists. Michael Porter shot 50 percent of his field goal attempts to notch 27 points while grabbing 11 boards. And even though Jamal Murray only hit 9-of-23 from the field, the point guard still finished the game with 22 points.

The win meant that the Lakers will go on to fight another day in their quest to advance to the next round. It also snapped an 11-game losing streak at the hands of a Nikola Jokic-led Nuggets team. Meanwhile, the result has taken the series to 3-1 in favor of Denver.

LeBron James Drops Massive Anthony Davis Praise After Los Angeles Lakers Game 4 Win Against Denver Nuggets

After the game, James spoke to reporters and aired his thoughts about the game. In a video shared by ClutchPoints on X, the Lakers’ All-Star forward gave Davis the flowers he deserved for such an impressive performance.

“AD tonight: 25 PTS 22 REB 6 AST 11-17 FG

The first Laker since Shaq with a 25/20/5 playoff game on 60 FG%,” StatMuse tweeted.

As seen in the stat above, no other Lakers star has replicated what O’Neal did during his time with the team. That kind of dominance on both ends of the court paved the way for Los Angeles’ win over a Denver Nuggets team that’s firing on all cylinders recently. Add James’ performance and an reinvigorated backcourt to the mix, and Los Angeles might have found the formula to take this series to seven games.

It remains to be see what the Lakers will do with this win or whether they can build on the momentum they’re now enjoying. What’s certain, though, is that this LeBron James team won’t go down without a fight anytime soon.
