Norman was forced to exit during the first half of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers and taken to the hospital after what sounds like a truly scary scene.
#49ers CB Josh Norman, who was ruled out of last night’s game with a chest injury suffered in the first half, was taken to the hospital after spitting up blood, sources say. All tests came back OK but Norman spent the night in the hospital as a precaution.

Although tests have come back clean and Norman is reportedly looking to play next week, such an injury has to be horrifying.
The veteran CB signed a one-year deal with San Francisco just this month, following a one-year stint with the Buffalo Bills. Norman has already impressed for the Niners, too, tallying three combined tackles and a forced fumble in his first two games played for the NFC West team. The 33-year-old Coastal Carolina product registered 24 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception in nine regular-season games last year for Buffalo.
