It's been a good week at Copper. The resort just received a 22 inches of snow, making for a deep mid-April powder day on Tuesday. With this storm, Copper's snowfall total for the season just reached 300 inches. And now, the season is nowhere near over.

Copper Mountain just announced that they are extending operations into May, with no set closing day; they're going to stay open as long as conditions allow.

This is the second season that Copper has been able to extend the season—and that doesn't even count when Woodward Copper summer camp kicks off.

In an on-point use of emojis, Copper shared on Instagram:

"Not ready for the season to end? Neither are we".

Emphasis on the "not ready." We feel that.

The caption explained further:

"We’re stoked to announce that we will be extending our winter season into May & for as long as conditions allow! Thanks to our elevation and slope aspects, we’ve been able to retain a solid snowpack into the late season. To put it simply...the gettin’s still good. "

The resort will have its annual closing party, Sunsation, the weekend of April 27-28th, but then will not close, of course, making the closing party more like a...regular party. Which is even better, because not closing that weekend is better than closing. We digress.

Regular operations will continue through April 28th and after that, American Eagle, Excelerator, Super Bee, and Storm King lifts will be open. The superpipe and a base area hike park will be open through the end of the season, as well.

There's more, too. Starting April 15th, lift tickets are only $99 for the rest of the season, and friends and family passes are 40% off, which can make a ticket as low as $60.

More snowboarding. We love that.
